On March 19, 2018, an EF-3 Tornado touched down and devastated the town of Jacksonville, Alabama and Jacksonville State University.
The tornado sustained an estimated maximum 150 mph winds and left behind an damage path nearly 35 miles long.

Among the devastation, was our student community, Gamecock Village.

While many may fall apart in times of hardship, our Preiss Company family pulled together to not only assist our on site team, but also our valued residents.

Before sunrise, flights were booked and plans in place assist in recovering essential items, treasured possessions and beloved pets. As a team and as a family, we were able to recover and return all salvageable items, and are happy to report that all furry family members were rescued.

In times of crisis, whether it be one of our own or our residents, we have always found that our TPCO family will always pull together to help.

Through individual employee donations & a company match, we were able to make a donation in the amount of $2,000 to the JSU Foundation.

The JSU Foundation is dedicated to providing opportunities & assisting students and faculty throughout the year, and especially in times of crisis.
