Raleigh, NC – September 6, 2005 – The Preiss Company, the largest housing provider of off-campus student housing at North Carolina State University, was recently recognized as one of the Triangle’s top Women-Owned Businesses by Triangle Business Journal. Out of 25 companies listed, The Preiss Company ranked #18 based on number of Triangle employees. This is the company’s first appearance in The List.

Preiss founded The Preiss Company in 1987 with herself as the sole employee. Today, the company has 65 employees and total revenues in excess of $10 Million per year. Over the past 12 months, The Preiss Company has represented more than $31million in listings and has developed or participated in the development of more than $76 million in student housing. They currently have $154 million in future developments planned, including projects at Salisbury University in Maryland and The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. 

The Preiss Company is the largest off-campus housing provider for North Carolina State University and Clemson University in South Carolina.
